Great Lakes Family Dental Group is hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant!
Schedule: 2 days per month in Tecumseh, 3 days per month in Livonia, 2 days per month in Saginaw, and 2 days per month in Almont. We can split locations and schedule among multiple DAs!
The Orthodontic Assistant will provide clinical support to the orthodontist to facilitate the relationship between the patient and the dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care and maintain communication between dentists, patient and administrative staff to insure a positive patient experience. Requires local travel between locations.
Greet and prepare patients for treatment
Chairside assisting
Taking intra and extra oral photographs
Proper impression techniques for a variety of orthodontic appliances
Laboratory work
Provide post operative instructions and patient education
Prepare, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
Maintain strict compliance to infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA
Maintain orthodontic supply inventory
Perform other related job duties as assigned
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
C.O.A. preferred
Strong verbal skills
Possess required certifications, licensure or registration as required by state
